ABOUT

CHIP is the online publishing platform for young journalists in Chelyabinsk, Russia. It's curated and created by the women-journalist with passion and enthusiasm who focused to give a good quality education to the young generation.

TASK

CHIP was created 10 years ago. The design and usability was outdated. They already had a high-fidelity prototype and they asked to rebuild website to the new-brand design with comfort navigation.

MY ROLE & TEAM

I was in a role of UI designer. I worked with art-director and one more designer by NCL team.

PROCESS AND UI CONSIDERATION

I focused on simple, clean and robust design that simplified the process of navigation and communication users in the platform. Picked up the stock illustrations to have a connection with the audience and as a way to show the cheerful and pleasant design.

DESIGN PROCESS

I found out that the old version of website had crumpled and unfocused in one content, unreadable text and unattractive UI.
